Web Forum: GEC's Ecosystem Restoration Journey

In conjunction with 49th World Environment Day 2021, Global Environment Centre (GEC) has organised a web forum entitled “GEC’s Ecosystem Restoration Journey” and it was hosted on Zoom platform, livestreamed on GEC's Facebook page. More than 100 participants attended the web forum including representatives from government, private sector, community and civil society.

The web forum discussed GEC's experience in ecosystem restoration, namely in forests and coastal, peatland as well as river rehabilitation, through multi-stakeholder partnerships, particularly with the local communities.

GEC Director, Mr. Faizal Parish moderated the web forum and featured GEC’s management team as panellists who shared their experience and insights on environmental conservation and restoration according to the respective programmes.
