Theme:	Peatlands cover only 3% of the world's land area but contain ~500GT of carbon - twice the carbon stock in total global forest biomass. Join us the side event “Enhancing climate action through peatlands” as speakers discuss the criticality of safeguarding our precious ecosystems. The session will showcase successful examples of how countries have integrated, enhanced or are implementing peatland-related climate commitments, in particular those contained in NDCs, and share multi-stakeholder and innovative collaborative management approaches as examples to further enhance climate action in #peatland landscapes.
