#kitajagakita: Expand your support to the vulnerable groups

During this trying time, the vulnerable groups such as hardcore poor, Orang Asli, refugees are migrant workers are affected.  Not all hardcore poor or Orang Asli are registered with the government and many lack bank accounts making it difficult for them to receive financial assistance. Refugees and migrant workers are affected.

GEC and our project partners have so far donated RM45, 000 worth of food and other supplies to 530 families from B40 and Orang Asli community in 5 states (Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur, Selangor, Perak, Johor and Pahang). This support also helps to reduce their need for movement to the outside, thus reducing the risk of exposure to COVID-19.

However, the current and additional communities need more welfare assistance due to the further extension of the MCO. Contribute with us. Your donation will help us reach out to those in need. Account number MBB: 5122 3140 4905 (Global Environment Centre)

(Please indicate COVID19 donation under the transaction details/recipient reference)

Note: All cash donations to the Global Environment Centre are tax-exempted. Please e-mail to us your bank slip to outreach@gec.org.my. If you do not receive your tax-exemption receipt within 2 weeks of your contribution, please notify us at victoria@gec.org.my.
