Sg. Pinang RIVER Care Programme which is a three years project funded by HSBC Bank Malaysia Berhad in partnership with Global Environment Centre (GEC) to enhance community participation in river protection and river rehabilitation ends in 2013.

The objective of this programme was to strengthen and expand the community river monitoring and protection activities. This was established with the RIVER Ranger groups based in both schools and communities which were developed to monitor and support the management and rehabilitation of selected sections of the Sg Pinang.
